SHARING THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST WITH OTHERS

As a Christian, I am deeply committed to defending and explaining the core tenets of the Christian faith through reason, evidence, and thoughtful discourse. Our belief in a loving Creator who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem humanity is not based on blind faith, but on historical evidence, philosophical arguments, and personal experiences that have withstood centuries of scrutiny. While we acknowledge that faith plays a crucial role in our worldview, we also emphasize that Christianity offers a coherent and compelling explanation for the nature of reality, morality, and the human condition. By engaging in respectful dialogue with skeptics and seekers alike, we aim to demonstrate that the Christian worldview not only stands up to intellectual examination but also provides profound meaning, purpose, and hope in a world often marked by confusion and despair.

The Good News of Jesus Christ is powerfully presented through the four Gospels, each offering a unique perspective on His life, ministry, and salvation. Let me share with you four key truths about Jesus from these accounts:

Jesus is the Promised Messiah

Matthew's Gospel emphasizes that Jesus is the long-awaited Messiah, fulfilling numerous Old Testament prophecies. He came to establish God's kingdom and offer salvation to all who believe in Him. Jesus declared, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" (Matthew 4:17).

Jesus is the Servant King

Mark portrays Jesus as the Servant who came to give His life for others. He demonstrated His authority through miracles and taught with unparalleled wisdom. Jesus said, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45).

Jesus is the Compassionate Savior

Luke presents Jesus as the Son of Man who came to seek and save the lost Luke 19:10. He showed particular concern for the marginalized and outcast. Jesus proclaimed, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor" (Luke 4:18).

Jesus is the Divine Son of God

John's Gospel emphasizes Jesus' deity and His offer of Eternal life to all who believe. Jesus declared, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

These four perspectives combine to present one unified Gospel message: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth, lived a perfect life, died for our sins, and rose again, offering forgiveness and Eternal life to all who put their faith in Him. Will you trust in Jesus today and receive the salvation He offers?

You are Believing in what Jesus has done in history for all that is very well documented. You are Believing that Jesus dying on that Cross was done in place for you. The Resurrection of Jesus is proof that the Father excepted Jesus’ death for the payment for all sins - John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. John 7:24  I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.”

2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

  1. The 1st thing to learn and see and know and tell is about the person of Jesus Christ - which if you are reading this you have heard, believed, received and want to tell others about Jesus. Which is the Gospel - which is called Evangelism.

    The Gospel is:

1. The Gospel is a Message about Jesus Christ - Christ did it all on the Cross - John 19:30 It Is Finished!

2. The Gospel is His Life (3 year Ministry), Death (John 10:18 His willingness to die for us) and the Resurrection from the dead referred to 3 times in each Gospel of what had to happen before it happened.

3. The Gospel comes with an Eternal promise of forgiveness, relationship, love, thankfulness, worship, following, obeying, learning, growing, becoming like him, loving like him and serving others. God with man Forever in Heaven Revelations 21:3

1. To really help you grow, start reading and studying the 1st 4 books of the New Testament which are Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (only 89 Chapters) - they have the most concentrated information about Jesus Christ life, ministry, miracles, teachings, fulfillment, love, authority, forgiveness, power, etc. You can prove who Jesus is just by His life, what He did and what He said, His power over all sickness and disease Matthew 4:23. Jesus commands the winds and the waves in Mark 4, He was worshiped Matthew 14:33, He was called the Son of God by Nathanael in John 1:49, He is the Word in flesh John 1:14, He casts out all demons and evil spirits by a word, and the demons declared Jesus was the Son of the most High God Matthew 8, Mark 1, Luke 4 and 8, He healed from afar the centurion servant in Matthew 8, He forgave sin Mark 2, Jesus gave sight to the blind John 9, Jesus raised people from the dead Luke 7, Jesus spoke of people's past to show He was a prophet John 4, Jesus turned water into wine John 2 just a few examples that come to mind.

  1. Listening, Reading and Writing are 3 ways to memorize and know the Bible inside and out. Listening is the 1st level, the 2nd level is Reading and the 3rd is actually Writing which really imprints the Word into your brain and heart as a good way to recall what you are learning for yourself then talking with others and telling others about Jesus. The more you do it the better you get at it. Tell the story of Jesus the way you know it and understand it so it will come out natural and then let God do the rest.

  2. Remember when you open up the Bible to read it, it is telling you what God has said about, Grace, Sin, Repentance, Love, Joy, Peace, Forgiveness, Following, Trusting, Going and Doing, Speaking, Defending the Truth that sets men and women free no matter what condition they are in when they hear about Jesus Christ. Jesus can save anyone in any condition. There are No hopeless ones that He cannot help if they will call on His name for help and forgiveness.

  3. To be called a disciple of Jesus Christ is a great honor to receive. A disciple is one who has a great desire to become just like the one in whom they are following, which is Jesus Christ the Messiah. Luke 14:25-35 The cost of being a Disciple.

  4. You see Jesus never puts the pressure on you to become like Him, He provides the same Grace that forgave you is the same Grace that brings change in you for the rest of your life. Jesus says come to me all who are burden and heavy laden and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28-30

  5. What is Grace? Ephesians 2:8 For it is by “Grace” you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—Grace is the unmerited favor from God to you. So God can never love you anymore or any less than what He did for you on a Cross 2,000 years ago. That is real Eternal love last lasts Forever.

1. Matthew is written to the Jews and contains more referenced prophecies than all the other gospels combined.

2. The book of Matthew contains a genealogy from Abraham to Joseph which is Jesus legal line

3. The book of Luke contains a genealogy from Adam to Mary which is Jesus bloodline

4. Matthew’s genealogy is down through David’s son Solomon - (The Legal line) Matthew 1:7

5. Luke’s genealogy is down through David’s son Nathan - (The Bloodline) Luke 3:31

6. Solomon’s line - Matthew 1:7 -  Jeconiah was cursed in Jeremiah 22:30 which God said to write him childless - meaning that it is a broken line of sorts but Luke’s 3:31 line is unbroken.

1. Matthew was a Jewish Tax Collector for Rome and then called to be an Apostle by Jesus Christ, was with Jesus during His 3 year ministry and was an eyewitness of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

2. Mark also known as John Mark was the cousin of Barnabas and traveled with Paul the Apostle - Act 12 and Colossians 4

3. Luke was a Gentile Doctor and thought to be 1 of the 70 mentioned in Luke 10 - also mentioned with Paul the Apostle - Colossians 4:14, 2 Timothy 4:11, Acts 16:6-11, etc. Luke also wrote the book of Acts.

4. John was a Jewish Fisherman called to be an Apostle by Jesus Christ, was with Jesus during His 3 year ministry and was an eyewitness of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ - John was the only Apostle to not be Martyred. John was the closest to Jesus, Jesus entrusted His mother Mary to John while dying on the Cross to care for. John 19:25-27

Jesus taught by parables - most parables have 4 things in them

1. Jesus is represented within the Parable

2. The Parable focuses in on an area of life that Jesus wants to address - which is always the heart of the hearers

3. The Parable speaks to a certain people or person

4. The Parable always leaves you with a choice of going and doing what is right and wrong

Mark 4:1-20 is the 1st parable Jesus ever told - Jesus said that if you could not understand this one you will not understand any of the other parables

“‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving,
    and ever hearing but never understanding;
otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!”

13 Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable?

Read repeatedly, Read slowly, Recall and meditate on what you have learned from the scriptures, memorize, categorize in your own way. Everyone is wired a little differently but we can all learn, and remember, and understand and discuss and share with others the greatest news that you will ever hear on this side of heaven.

A Christian is used in 3 ways in sharing the Gospel

  1. A Christian is like a Lawyer in defending the Gospel

  2. A Christian is like a Doctor in diagnosing someone in need of a Gospel Heart transplant

  3. A Christian is a Servant in wanting to reach all they can in sharing the message of the Gospel

  1. Talking and Evangelizing with others really implants and uses the word that you have learned and even deepens your understanding of just how great the Gospel is in all of its truth. Jude 1:3 - contend for the faith……

  2. You will know The Truth and that Truth will set you free John 8:31-32 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

  3. Read and take notes under each chapter so in your mind you can recall that in the future. Read, Read, Read - The Spirit will be your teacher every time you read, recall, write and speak about Jesus, John 14:26-27  But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

  4. Always remember that you were saved by Grace, and you are kept by Grace, and you are changed daily by Grace and you tell others that they can have this same Grace which only comes through the person of Jesus Christ life, death and resurrection from the Dead.
