PERSONAL REVIVAL

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR HEART

REMEMBER IT IS NOT WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO OR WHAT YOU CAN DO BUT IT IS LETTING THE GRACE OF GOD BY THE WORD OF GOD THROUGH THE SPIRIT OF GOD CHANGE THE PEOPLE OF GOD SO HE CAN USE YOU MORE.

2 TIMOTHY 3:17 SO THAT THE (SERVANT / MAN) OF GOD MAY BE FULLY EQUIPPED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK.

REMEMBER GOD CALLED YOU AT YOUR HIGHEST POINT OF SIN AND PRIDE WHEN THE GOSPEL MOVED ON YOU AND IN YOU IN POWER - NOW HE IS MAKING YOU ALL THAT YOU CAN BE BY GRACE - THROWING OFF ANYTHING THAT HINDERS YOU FROM BEING LIKE THE TEACHER. LUKE 6:40 The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.

WHAT IS THE CHIEF END OF MAN? THE CHIEF END OF MAN IS TO WORSHIP AND ENJOY GOD FOREVER.

SO LET’S GET STARTED NOW.

PHILIPPIANS 3:10 I WANT TO KNOW CHRIST - YES, TO KNOW THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION AND PARTICIPATION IN HIS SUFFERINGS, BECOMING LIKE HIM IN HIS DEATH.

JOHN 7:37-38 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “LET ANYONE WHO IS THIRSTY COME TO ME AND DRINK. 38 WHOEVER BELIEVES IN ME AS THE SCRIPTURES HAVE SAID, RIVERS OF LIVING WATER WILL FLOW FROM WITHIN THEM.”

AS YOU READ - LOOK FOR GRACE WORKING AND TRANSFORMING YOU INTO THE FULL CALLING THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED EPHESIANS 4:1 AND 2:10 WORKS PREPARED IN ADVANCE FOR YOU TO DO

1. WHAT DO YOU WANT OUT OF THIS LIFE?

2. HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT?

3. AT WHAT COST WILL YOU DIE FOR IT?

4. AND WHY DO YOU WANT IT?

BECAUSE YOUR GREATEST LIFE IS IN FOLLOWING JESUS CHRIST WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART, SOUL, MIND AND STRENGTH.

LUKE 9:23-26 - THERE ARE 4 THINGS IN FOLLOWING JESUS AND BEING A DISCIPLE

V. 23 WHOEVER WANTS TO BE MY DISCIPLE MUST DENY HIMSELF AND TAKE UP YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW ME

V.24 WHOEVER WILL SAVE THEIR LIFE WILL LOSE IT BUT WHOEVER LOSES THEIR LIFE FOR ME WILL SAVE IT

V.25 WHAT GOOD IS IT FOR SOMEONE TO GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD AND LOSE THEIR SOUL

V.26 WHOEVER IS ASHAMED OF ME AND MY WORDS, THE SON OF MAN WILL BE ASHAMED OF THEM WHEN HE COME IN HIS GLORY AND IN THE GLORY OF THE FATHER AND OF THE HOLY ANGELS.

PERSONAL SPIRITUAL REVIVAL STARTS WITH PRAYER, CONFESSION, REPENTANCE

THEN REVIVAL WILL COME WITH THE FILLING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND LIVING AS A DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST

2 TIMOTHY 3:17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

CONFESS ALL YOUR KNOWN SINS - 1 JOHN 1:5-10 -  This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

  1. DO NOT LOVE THE THINGS OF THIS WORLD 1 JOHN 2:15-17 -  Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

  2. TIME WASTED SPENT WITH THE THINGS OF THE WORLD - COME TAKE UP YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW ME - LUKE 9:23 - Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. MATTHEW 16:25 - For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

  3. FORGIVENESS - OF HUSBAND TO WIVES AND WIVES TO HUSBANDS - THE PAST - WASH IT CLEAN AS JESUS HAS WASHED ALL OF YOUR SINS AWAY - THOSE WHO HAVE SINNED AGAINST YOU - PRAY FOR THOSE WHOSE HAVE WRONGED YOU - PRAY FOR YOUR ENEMY MATTHEW 5:44 - But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, / 1 PETER 3:7 - Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

  4. THE LOVE OF MONEY - 1 TIMOTHY 6:10 - For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

  5. EARTHLY IDOLS - HOUSE, CARS, MONEY, CLOTHES, STATUS, POSITION, JOB,  WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN, WHO YOU KNOW, HOW YOU LOOK, ETC… PRIDE - REPENT FROM YOUR HIGH POSITION - DANIEL 4:30 -  he said, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?”  REVELATION 2:5 -  Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. 1 TIMOTHY 6:7 - For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

  6. SEEK HUMILITY - SEEING OTHERS AS BETTER THAN YOURSELF PHILIPPIANS 2:3 - Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 1 PETER 5:6-7 - Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

  7. GOSSIP - THE TONGUE - JAMES 3:8-10 - but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. 11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? PSALM 15:1-5

  8. SIN OF COMPLAINING - PHILIPPIANS 2:14-16 -  Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.

  9. LUST, GREED, ANGER, PRIDE - 1 JOHN 2:15-17 - Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

  10. THE LACK OF LOVE - LUKE 7:47 - Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”

  11. DISOBEDIENT - SEEK YE 1ST THE KINGDOM OF GOD MATTHEW 6:33 - But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

  12. BEING HEARERS AND NOT DOERS - JAMES 1:22-25 - Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

  13. REPENT AND DO THE 1ST WORKS - REVELATION 2:5 - Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

  14. REPENT FROM BEING SERVED AND BE A SERVANT TO ALL- MARK 9:35 - Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”

  15. CONFESSION OF THOUGHTS, WORDS AND DEEDS  -YOUR THOUGHTS 2 CORINTHIANS 10:4-5 - The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

  16. YOUR HEART - FOR OUT OF A MAN’S HEART HIS MOUTH SPEAKS LUKE 6:45 - A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

  17. WHAT WE CHOOSE TO PUT BEFORE YOUR EYES - MATTHEW 6:22-23 - “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

  18. A PRIDEFUL ATTITUDE - HAVE THE SAME ATTITUDE OF THAT OF CHRIST JESUS PHILIPPIANS 2:1-5 - Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

  19. THE LACK OF PRAYER - MARK 9:28-29 - After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” 29 He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer.” JAMES 5:16 -  Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

  20. STUDYING OF THE WORD OF GOD - HEARING GOD - BEING EMPOWERED BY GOD’S WORD - 2 TIMOTHY 3:17 - so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

  21. THE HOLY SPIRIT - LISTENING AND OBEYING - JOHN 16:12–15 -  “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” EPHESIANS 5:18 -  Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,

  22. LAYING OUR LIVES DOWN - JOHN 15:12-17 - My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.

  23. GIVING OUT WHAT WE HAVE RECEIVED - JOHN 4:1-42, MARK 5:1-20 , LUKE 19:1-10

  24. TREASURES IN HEAVEN WHERE RUST, DECAY, WILL NOT EFFECT - MATTHEW 6:19-21 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

  25. LIVE FOR 6 WORDS WHEN YOU MEET CHRIST IN HEAVEN -  WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT MATTHEW 25:23 - “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

  26. NEW MERCIES EVERY MORNING - LAMENTATIONS 3:22-23 - The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;  his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning;  great is your faithfulness.

  27. REPENTANCE - PSALM 51:1-23

  28. SEARCH MY HEART AND SEE IF THERE BE ANYTHING IN ME PSALM 139:23-24 - Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

  29. DAILY CONFESSION - 1 JOHN 1:8-10 -  If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

  30. POWER TO SPEAK AND SHARE THE GOSPEL ROMANS 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

  31. THE HOLY SPIRIT - HIM DWELLING IN YOU - SANCTIFYING YOU JOHN 17:17-19 -  Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

  32. FILL ME WITH YOUR HOLY SPIRIT EPHESIANS 5:18 -  Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,

  33. GIVE US BOLDNESS AND COURAGE TO SPEAK ACTS 4:29 - Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.

  34. THE DEBT OF LOVE FOR ALL BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN LOVED - 1 JOHN 4:9-12 - This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

  35. REPENT OF T.V., ENTERTAINMENT, MOVIES, PHONES, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, SHOPPING, WASTING OUR TIME ON EARTHLY THINGS - BUILD THE KINGDOM OF GOD - LUKE 10:38-42 - As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” 41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

  38. WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD - HEBREW 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

  39. FAITH COMES BY HEARING AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD - ROMANS 10:17 - Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

  40. ASK SEEK AND KNOCK - MATTHEW 7:7-8 - “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

  41. IF WE ASK ACCORDING TO HIS WILL IT WILL BE DONE - SERVANTS TO SERVE IN THE GOSPEL - 1 JOHN 5:14 - This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

  42. 1 CORINTHIANS 16:15 - STEPHANAS - HE WAS THE 1ST CONVERT AND WAS SAID OF HIM THAT HE WAS ADDICTED TO MINISTRY -  I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

  43. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW - FOR TOMORROW HAS ENOUGH WORRY FOR ITSELF - GOD HAS PROVIDED IN THE PAST AND WILL IN THE FUTURE - LUKE 12:25-26 - Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life, 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

  45. GOD PLACED US EXACTLY WHERE WE ARE / ESTHER 4:14 - -For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”  ACTS 17:26 -   From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.

  46. GREATER IS HE THAT IS WITHIN ME THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD - 1 JOHN 4:4 -  You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

  47. CLEANSE US THROUGH AND THROUGH BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB - ISAIAH 1:18 -  “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
